Philippe Robert

Data Scientist

From finance to data science, I navigate the evolving tech landscape, curious about the defining role of our era.

I am enthusiastic about the impact of Machine & Deep Learning's scalability on our daily lives. I enjoy product design and enhancing its functionality with data-driven decision making.

I like to take the derivative of complex ideas to understand their foundational principles. I am currently applying this concept to LLMs to learn about the compute hardware layer, as well as the energy supply and techniques to make training and inference more resource-efficient. I am also investing energy into learning about the energy transition.

I am currently working as a Data Scientist intern at EIP Entrepreneurial Investment Partnership. I'm investigating market signals' interplay and their causal impact on company performance. I have built an automated codebase for descriptive analysis and probabilistic assessment of new signals detected. For those interested, I can provide a demo of the results we obtain. You can contact me by email or Linkedin.

As for now, I am located in Munich until the end of my internship in July. Afterward, I would like to find a position in Montréal that feels right for the long run, where I can settle down and build my career.

In my free time, I enjoy studying language, reading books, writing thoughts on all subject that interest me, doing sport, trying the local restaurant/café that I haven’t tried yet and meeting new people.

I am currently reading The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka. If you have a book or movie recommendation, feel free to recommend it!
